"i thought i saw a living fossil! It kept squeezing the life out of the people around it!"- Jane Fondue, aged 67, eyewitness

Perth (Australia) -- Scientists have made a breakthrough discovery in a new species of human beings ever since that of
homo habilis and
homo neanderthalensis. This 15 year old fossil was discovered while it was lounging on the grasslands of Perth and having a delightful afternoon nap. Scientists are quick to point out that due to its intense hair growth covering its eyes, it has to rely on its sense of smell to forage for fruits and berries. However, the weak sense of smell and spelling ability of the
Harius Blindus Mushoroomessa spelt its impending doom. Currently, this is the only living specimen left on earth known to man. According to eyewitnesses, they called in local zookeepers to restrain the creature after failed attempts to soothe it. Apparently, it has a penchant for asserting its innocence and claiming it had done no crime.
It took local firemen and authorities 2 hours to subdue the creature, when the police called in a local video gamestore to order a complementary copy of 'Red Alert 3'. This instrumental move allowed the police to distract the creature by dangling the game in front of it, enabling the local zoologist to take a clear pot shot at its rear end with a tranquilizer dart. It is currently under observation at Perth Zoo, where extensive grooming is likely to be provided.
