Breakthrough Discovery in the Australia Outback!

"i thought i saw a living fossil! It kept squeezing the life out of the people around it!"
- Jane Fondue, aged 67, eyewitness

Species: Homosapien Mushroom
Scientific Name: Harius Blindus Mushoroomessa
Origin: Australia; Singapore; China; Outer Regions of Mongolia

Perth (Australia) -- Scientists have made a breakthrough discovery in a new species of human beings ever since that of homo habilis and homo neanderthalensis. This 15 year old fossil was discovered while it was lounging on the grasslands of Perth and having a delightful afternoon nap. Scientists are quick to point out that due to its intense hair growth covering its eyes, it has to rely on its sense of smell to forage for fruits and berries. However, the weak sense of smell and spelling ability of the Harius Blindus Mushoroomessa spelt its impending doom. Currently, this is the only living specimen left on earth known to man. According to eyewitnesses, they called in local zookeepers to restrain the creature after failed attempts to soothe it. Apparently, it has a penchant for asserting its innocence and claiming it had done no crime.

It took local firemen and authorities 2 hours to subdue the creature, when the police called in a local video gamestore to order a complementary copy of 'Red Alert 3'. This instrumental move allowed the police to distract the creature by dangling the game in front of it, enabling the local zoologist to take a clear pot shot at its rear end with a tranquilizer dart. It is currently under observation at Perth Zoo, where extensive grooming is likely to be provided.

Ahem - correction!

Well, I'm no english expert (Chang Li-Ern should do this!), but here goes:

I'm typing this with a painful hand (this is still bad phrasing)...*lies*ok, to cut the crap, I just finished my work*. So i did my work, but there was this 1 question, where I had to find the equation with the given gradient(-2) and 1(redundant) co-ordinate(5,-2). Ok...Here I go. We draw the line up and check...rise over run blah blah blah and mistake (eh?). I wanted a gradient of -2 BUT I was careless**. I got a gradient of ½. So I redid it but due to a mishap (mishap is a bit more serious than just a mistake - a bit too serious for this)...I made the same mistake because I got frustrated cos I got it wrong the first time I forgot what I wanted to do so that happened 5 times(EH? I was frustrated after getting it wrong 5 times, each time forgetting the steps). AFTER 2.5 mins*** I got it right(finally) so I did it correct (redundant!)...or at least, I think I did...This time I got the gradient right, but made another mistake (saying this time implies you made a previous mistake, so use "another"). I drew the line upwards, meaning (don't need to put "that", it's redundant) it was positive. I got frustrated, and made 10 of the same mistakes before my back started hurting, and I went out for a break...Then I Came back, and forgot everything...Started back at square 1...screwed up the gradient by getting ½ again, and getting the right gradient but with the wrong sign(nearly typed sine there)....Which makes it 10 mistakes in total. FINALLY, at the 21st try, I got it right...
End Result:
  1. Painful Hand
  2. Hurt Back
  3. Lots of water drank (i think DRUNK)
  4. Lots of toilet visits (many trips to the toilet)
  5. A hurt ankle from tripping

Hysteria ~ !

For those who do not know what is going on, the examinations are starting soon, in like... a few weeks! So if its dead, don't bug me to revive it, anyways based on the nice photographical evidence by Nicky, I can now conclude my theory that indeed everyone is upside down and jumps into the floor instead of the sky.

Away from all that, Uncle Francis came to see us, with a Military Minister and perhaps another one o.o And gosh I sure wish I had some photos of that dinner. The lobster noodles were fantasic and so was the snow crab with fried salted egg. Yum ~

But anyways heres a little fun for all you peeps out there to remind you of all your childhood times when you first thought you could poo right =]

And for those who enjoy creative artistic talent, something I got bored with and experimented:

So anyway, back to the cryptic title. Did New Balance REAL Run today. Man, it was hots!!! I ran with my friend and we both agreed it was more tiring than the marathon (for the same distance at least). Guess its really hot, or - we're getting old.

Solitude

Black Holes

Josh never thought he misses you.

I look for a song. Because for every situation one goes through, there is a song to be sung, to be written. Be it of joy, gladness, thankfulness, sorrow, loneliness and quiet wisdom. I look towards song, for songs can be sung admist the darkest of times, much like a light that illuminates the darkest of nights and guides one to the elusiveness of home. It is a reflection of my understanding or lack thereof, an expression of hope and my shield against insanity.

You have two options, sing or go insane.

Finally got some sneakers.

Recently recarpetted my pedalboard! (: Now it looks less dark and more inviting.

Morning Kembangan Jogging - 5:55am, waiting for Elnaam who didn't show.

Been co-relating 6/8 and 4/4 timing with some interesting results.

selamat berhari raya!

Hi all, just to update - most of you all will know by now i'm in Cultural Activities Club band - well, we had a gig just yesterday! It was at Northbrooks Secondary School, as part of some international buffet thing, so we all had to play various requested foreign songs. The band is quite big, so i only played 2 songs, but i think i had the best 2 songs lol! A hari raya song and a filipino song. mmmhmmm.

So here we have the students, unfortunately a bit QUIET:
The drums weren't too bad - mostly cause another guy, alvyn, brought all his cymbals and stuff. The actual drums weren't too bad either! If we didn't bring our own snare and cymbals i think it would have sounded much worse though (at least to the drummers). But no monitors, an unadjustable drum throne - killers by any means! i think i played quite badly today, but ah who cares!

So to all aspiring drummers out there. Next time when thinking about cymbals and snares - also consider investing in a good THRONE for you to seat.

the guy in green shirt is dan - he's from manchester, with mmmmm ang moh looks - these are like 2 of his 12043905894358209385 screaming fans. loll.

REUNION

Running Vertically

Filling a black hole. What's a black hole? Its a vacuum in a vacuum (space). I see it as this hole that sucks up everything else around it. Trying to begin filling it would be a fruitless effort that had no future to begin with. Yet leaving it untouched is detrimental to all that exists around it. Everyone has black holes, spaces they try to cram with games, work, music or hobbies so as to not think about the void that exists inside.

So as I quietly sit and contemplate, there is a peace in solitude as I delve into understanding the mysteries of my own black holes. Gaps I know exist because of past experiences and walls I've put up. At the same time, the more I contemplate, the more it sinks in that no matter how familiar Singapore is, there is an element of lonesomeness in it. When will we break away from being fickle? Caring on the outside, skin-deep ministries on the inside. Passe superficialities. Where is home? How long will it take to find it? A place where warmth exists in the heart and not in a handshake. Where words have weight, and promises hold true. In a time when human relations are limited to being tangents to the curve of relationships, where will I find you home?

Your mouth is moving but...

You're all probably wondering about the topic name eh? Well it just speaks of a somewhat strange holiday. Yes currently it is the 4th day into the 2 week break me and Asher are having.

Somewhat of a holiday*

Anyways, since I haven't wrote anything on this virtual platform I shall now. In school, the very last week of school, my teacher told us she was going to teach us something important and we need to pay very careful attention. Now here's the punchline, we didn't exactly know what she was saying. So being the ever so typical kiasu Singaporean, (something we don't know, must get to know one right anot?) I said something that wasn't intentional, more or less an accidental slip of the tongue.

Literally word for word;
"Uhhh...Miss, I see your mouth moving but all I hear is blah blah blah blah blah blah blah." (yes laugh to your heart's content)

Well, theres 1 thing you have to like about Australia is the way they return back the sentence, not like the Singaporean way of "Oi shut ur mouth" but the more creative and ingenius way.

Teacher says;
"Well this is how the whole lot of you talk, I hope you all got the message."

Complete and absolute genius, we ought to learn some of this stuff from JK sometime. And to all the O/N/A Level & University Exam people, ALL THE BEST.
