Can you take me higher?
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves first.

Now imagine being 30 metres high in a cage. Seeing an immensely spectacular view of all your immediate surroundings for over a few kms. Then being in control of a pump that pushes water at 25 bars or 250 psi.
Most of all, doing it with great friends. Had a superb week.

Love Is A Movement
As Jon Foreman puts it, love is a movement. Do you dare to love? Do you dare to move?
Fire is hot, very hot. We had 3 minutes to set up a cooling monitor, 2 more minutes to set-up snatch rescue (i.e hydrant to pump to breeching to two jets). If within 3 minutes, it isn't set up, the LPG tank explodes, that is if it wasn't a simulated fire. Hopefully I can get a picture, this is the coolest looking solution to a fire. Imagine the formation of four guys walking forward together with a shield of water. Needless to say, it was very very fun.
This week will be shooting jets at high pressure and being in a raised platform to 16 storeys. Think of it as a "Wild Wild Wet" week.
Stellar Memory's on Facebook!
till next week,
josh

i want to be a helicopter
Here we are, ladies and gents, the creations.
1. Bringing me back to the days of Bananas in Pyjamas, and our Australian escapades, plus a marvel of food engineering, is the helicopter - ah, nostalgia:
2. Courtesy of a very raunchy mr. Yeo and mr. Lau (not ps Lau), my future girlfriend - yummy?
3. Ah, food, mr K's specialty - happy meal!

4. New from Hasbro, the vampire Wen Yi toy! Complete with hidden six-pack.

5. From Jay and Co., a most interactive Nicky toy, complete with whipped cream down your ears and neck:
6. Moses crossing the red sea, with edible descendants like the Honey Stars:

And, once again, the one that took the grand prize:
Kudos to second place ties - bikini lady and red sea!

life is not what i thought it was...

Yup! I'm 21. OH NO! Haha...
I had my party on Saturday night at home, with relatives and church people from some of the ministries i'm in - MKC, Youth Comm, my BS group etc. Had to try to keep it as such, if not would have to invite the WHOLE CHURCH! I didn't even invite any other friends.
Still, the party was great! Good food (from the stamford, darn, no photo) - it was an international buffet! Pasta, soft shell crab, green curry, cheesy fish etc. Very unconventional, and not too much more expensive than the pure chinese spread. Good fun - everyone was pretty upbeat. Good gifts - mmmhmmm haha. Figure shall not be disclosed, but i shalt have to treat my cousins!
We had a game that night - it was really funny! Basically everyone was split into groups (so all the heads went together, the hands went together, etc.) and was given a set of food items eg. bread, peanut butter, whipped cream, and had to come up with something creative, with a story behind it. Till now i still laugh at the stuff, it was really funny!
I shall go into more detail, with photos to come :)
Really thank my parents, and especially mum, for being so thick-skinned and for working her ass off to help organise the party. Would also like to thank everyone who was present, and even those who weren't but well-wished :) I would really liked to have been able to invite everyone, but it wouldn't be practical, and I would have died.
Any regrets? Yeah - there was some element of this, but I was hoping my dad's side would be able to integrate more. Kudos to the aunties and uncles for being so friendly. Wish the game groups had split more evenly though... Was hoping to regroup for the second game but didn't have the time for it.
The other regret would have been not being able to invite everyone who has been a part of my life, especially my dear cousins over in Aussielasia. Miss you all!
Oh yeah. And i didn't take enough photos! D'OH!

pleasant surprise!
So here I was, walking out of the LT, and I turn around and, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!..."
Yeah! My friends were so nice and thoughtful to get a cake and all - i don't even remember telling them it was my birthday!
So thank God for such friends :) I was just so sheepish after that. Will blog more on the actual party soon - just had to blog this first! It was so sweet of them!
And, just so you know, i'm actually staying in Prince George's Park:
My room, thanks to mum and dad. Mum and I came to clean it up the other day - it was pretty terrible, but now very livable! Thanks Mum! The chair and lamp courtesy IKEA.
Oh, and I got into both the CAC band and the Jazz band. Will have to pray and hope everything works out well.
Love,
Nik
