Malta - the pastiche

Island. Former British Colony. Mediterranean Sea. English Speaking. Part of the Roman Empire. Staunchly Christian. Middle of the world, middle of the sea, and Malta is like a pastiche, its like many landscapes from many parts of the world pieced together in one place.

Why the Maltese are supposedly one of the happiest people in the world? (see below for the answers). With relics preceding the Egyptian Pyramids, Malta is a relaxed city, people don't drive too fast, and food is reasonably priced! As with Italy and Spain, rabbit is a popular dish. (saw a drowned rabbit on the boat ride to Comino island.

There are two main islands, Malta and Gozo. Spent a little under 2 days in Gozo and now i'm back in Malta. Will head to the fishing villages tomorrow! By the way, if you remember your bible, Paul got shipwrecked onto an island. Which island? Malta (read last chapters of Acts). There's even a St Paul Shipwreck Church here!

Enjoy!
