Life and the Red Alert 3 BETA

Ok Asher will soon blog, anyways weather has been cold, crisis clearing, obamessiah = joke and studying to pass this year with at least B's or A's

So that comes to my point of the Red Alert 3 Beta. Since I am actually going to try my best (once again) to get A1's for the examinations and laugh at the school at the end of the year.

I am giving up my position in the Red Alert 3 BETA test to someone else (Go tell everyone in church and all your friends). Yes includes my account and everything, even the CD-Key.

So yes life has been great, so far, save the cold weather.

obamessiah - LOL

Hey guys, this was in Straits Times! Koped from London Times: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/gerard_baker/article4392846.ece

Anyway, update:
Next week, school starts! Sigh - all the months of relative freedom... Actually uni might be more freedom in that sense! But not quite looking forward to working the brain out again :( Ngois! All work hard together!

We had a dinner to celebrate aunty Hazel's birthday last Saturday, followed by a mini durian party - the changs had to go home and sleep because they were playing for 745:
4 very satisfied kids :)

One-Eye Blind

Well, contrary to what Nicky thinks, i've been interning at a law firm the past two weeks. So not slacking. Currently attached to the criminal law department, so its pretty cool. Lives at stack.

Ahh well, the Vietnam photos wun be up soon. Due to Bao the joker. haha.

(In Vietnam)
Yang: You transfer the photos in Hanoi to your laptop liao?
Bao watching cartoon network: Ya
Yang: (checks camera): Eh, you delete the photos in my camera?!
Bao watching cartoon network: Ya, go back singapore can burn into dvd easier.
Yang: ok
-end of conversation-

(In Singapore)
Yang: Eh Bao, vietnam photos leh
Bao: haven't burn yet leh
Yang: wah lau eh how come
Bao: no dvd
Yang: -_-"
-end of conversation-

On a more interesting note today, i was in city hall and in a hurry. The following reveals how blind i can be. I walk past soup spoon heading to MOS burger. I see eric, tap him on the shoulder and chat to him for less than a minute before rushing off. i glance at the friend next to him and assume its his poly friend.

the following conversation with eric reveals how i am blind in one eye:

cheng_xuan@hotmail.com says:

ok guys, before i post anything sensible, my friend sent me this, and i think it's HILARIOUS:

So anyway, got back from VCF camp, and i'm pretty amazed. the campsite was none other than our good ol' BB sembawang! i was kinda sian-ed out on the first day, cause youth camp was thousand times more fun, but i'm glad i stayed, because it was a very good learning camp. they are quite word-intensive, and there are sharing/reflections after every session, be it workshop, personal devotions or the theme talks. its really nice, cause the people there really share (i mean, considering they paid 50 bucks each i guess there is the element of expectancy and desire to seek God).

I am however, just looking forward to next week, where hopefully i'll get the chance to breathe a little ;)

Freedom in Jesus

Freedom We Know
We’re gonna dance dance dance
In the freedom we know
We’re gonna dance dance dance
In the freedom we know
We’re gonna dance dance dance
In the freedom we know
Because the freedom we know is gonna last forever

The world turns in all of its ways
But I’m soul set on a holy name
And when all earth is said and done
Still I will praise Him

There’s no end to the love that He gives
And now broken dreams have life again
In the hope of the risen King
So let us praise Him

Chorus:
A mystery unthinkable
That He took the fall just to save my soul
Now to love is the life I know
On and on and on we’ll be singin’

Soul set free in the One I love
Oh come on come on
And let the whole earth sing
In the freedom we know
So come on come on and praise Him

Come come all the lost and the found
Let us rise up with a holy sound
All the earth unified as one
Just to praise Him

In full view with nothing to hide
Like a city on a hill we’re gonna shine
In the light of Your freedom
Let us praise Him

This song struck me during camp. It completely overwhelmed me. Just as they were playing it, I felt the freedom that I first received during the first youth camp back in Singapore. The freedom I used to have in Jesus. Before the camp I was pretty up tight with everything, I easily exploded at people for pointless reasons.

Now I'm glad to have gained it back. However, pray for the church I'm attending (Faith Community Church), the anoiting on them is GREAT.

However, that wasn't the only awesome thing. The final sermon, completely took me unaware. It was an absolute crystal clear version of me. And then I finally understood what God's voice sounds like and I realised that "Hey, He's been talking to me all this time, just that I never knew".

And then, God did a mirale for all 140+ youths at the camp. It started to rain hail, the wind I would describe as Hurricane winds, it was so strong, that I couldn't walk straight. I never knew of the Tornado down South. It was all calm inside, outside was a raging nightmare, yet no one was aware because of God's mighty hand. I only knew about the tornado when I got home and saw the news with my Dad.

And I learnt the most amazing thing about God, is that he is the ULTIMATE and NOTHING can stand in His way.

i believe yang is slacking, and yi-ern is swimming, and mr yeo is, well, yeo-ing. kor kor, as usual, is on planet blue elephant.

we had a really good youth service yesterday. aunty kum lim preached about Hannah, how she sought God despite her situation (which would make most of us question, why God?). check it out in 1 samuel 1 ;)

"cell"

We had another mini-birthday thingy at the Choys today - this time for Caleb! Our dear birthday boy (tomorrow is his real birthday) cooked pasta and garlic bread for us. Plus San San bought chicken wings - yum! Although Serangoon Garden chicken wing tastes so much better.

We watched Bridge to Terabithia, which was a nice but sad film. I thought it could've been better, and I've got really high expectations for the novel, which they say is better than the film. But first, gotta open and get through my Chronicles of Narnia...

Tomorrow is my last day of work!

Rubbed the wrong way

Well lately, I'm VERY sure that ANYTHING has gone my way at all. You put in effort, you attempt to do it, but yet it all goes down the toilet at the last moment, school and everything else. Even my prayers feel as though they had hit the ceiling, it feels like an echo when no one is around and you talk to yourself. But, I know He's there, so not giving up.

Anyways, I don't know why they say Australia is going to have a drought. Seems pretty wet to me and the 'breathing smoke' bit reminds me of London. Ah yes, London, where we (me, Lincoln and yes Xiong) almost knocked down Aunty Ad while sliding down the staircase with a cardboard box that was flatten into a sled. The overly tensed joints due to the cold. Squeezing the life outta Nicky. Makes you wonder, what happened to all that?

And Xiong, WHOA, you lost A LOT of weight. Good on you, you could be the next me, with 6pax and a cooler hairstyle. Nicky's going to University, 2 weeks of relaxation, make the best outta it. Ask Asher on how to relax, he's GREAT at it, literally.

Well, anyway, save the smoke part for later.

It ends.

And so it ends. Not Stellar Memory, but life in camp as a recruit. Thanks for the pictures Nick. I don't think any amount of pictures could really show the amount that our footdrill kinda stinked on the day. Anyway, so God's provision. I guess, there are a lot of things. Good leadership and authority placed over me. Sending me to a vocation that I really wanted to get into. Just being able to survive the last 3 months.

Well, for those of you that don't know, I'm going to be an SCT. Sect Comm Trainee, i.e ERS Trainee. Fireman! So yea, love the firemen around you.

Those of you asking about Stellar Memory, we've got a late slot on the 26th July at 10pm. Its pretty late, but hey at least we got a date that we wanted. Till then, I'll enjoy my no book-in on Sunday night, before proceeding to 6 months of regimentation. Lovely (:

Look forward to more weight loss. Jogging inc!

Cebu Part 8 (just to round things up)

Day #8:

I actually left day 8 out, since it basically consisted sleeping in and then rushing to the airport. Oh - we had major AAR (after-action-review). It was wonderful sitting at that table and just listening and sharing what we had learnt from Cebu. Kuya also shared some memorable things. Like how sometimes we cannot see things physically, but we need to take it in faith, if not we will burn out. Like how you should bring back seeds, not the plant.

So I guess now, Day #9 - ...

Who knows what God has in store for us? I know this trip had a great impact on me, and gave me a much needed spiritual boost. God confirmed some things recently as well.

But so... pray! PRAY!

POC loh!

I shalt help Joshua, since he has not posted.

Anyway, Joshua Lim will now be PTE Lim for a few days before he gets his next posting! Aunty Hazel, mum, dad and myself went for the Passing Out Ceremony. The food was good i must say! And it was a good video!
Here are some photos to whet your appetite:

Ghosts in the background:

The shiny head steals the show!

After that Joshua was so eager to get to cell - in his No. 4! Aaron was having a sorta mini-bday party, so we watched hairspray (eternal high), and half of you got served!

i shalt leave Joshua to give us a heart-warming story of God's goodness in BRTC - so faR!
