Haha Josh - i'm catching up with you! Now i am about 73kg!
OK - so it's in different directions... But i can stay happy in that my 2.4 run should still be better than you!
Anyway, i'm supposed to be at work but because of the sniffles, i'm at home! Which is a good thing... but i'm not used to having dad nag around the house :x
I think i shall let Yang talk about the Japan trip huh? I will see what i can scoop out of my mind from Cebu for you guys to hear - check out Aaron's blog as well!

I havent been through here in a while. So a couple things to shout out.
- Props Xiong, youre doing well. Great success! I like you! How much? Keep it up, so now maybe when I eventually end up back in Singapore, I'll be coerced into actually taking a run. All breath that I dont expend running will be used in talking about YOUR FACE.(I get unhealthy over the summer holiday period in Singapore.)
- You know what you should do with Karrigton, Alden? Take him to do something incredibly STUPID. Thats what we do in Australia, something hyper-competitive, manly, and pointless, just for the principle of competition and stupidity. Thats how we roll. You dont have to take that advice.
- To the bunch of you that are holidaying; I hate you all. No in fact... the word hate is overused these days...so I need a bigger and better word to describe how I feel about you guys. Ah...I MEGALOATHE you. Thats better. I'm joking, I love all you fools. Enjoy yourself.
- I have a friggin eskimo jacket. Its friggin warm. It looks honkie, it looks asian-metro.. but I dont care. I could sleep in this damn thing. Its friggin amazing.
Rolling on.

Mr.K Part 2
Now we will review what Mr.K has done for the past week.
Day 1 - Sleep and strange picture of him and Asher
Day 2 - Mr.K goes to IGA, and is so happy to see the food, till he sees the price. He comes home and wrestles with Asher. This time I take a video, but have no idea how to convert the phone format into the video format.
Day 3 - Mr.K goes to scarborough beach, while its raining? He comes back and wrestles with Asher again.
Day 4 - Mr.K goes to some random location that I forgot and comes back and wrestles with Asher, yet again.
Day 5 - Heavy rain, so Mr.K follows me and my dad to get salmon sashimi, which by the way is eaten raw. However, Mr.K pan fries some of it, way to go Mr.K. He wrestles with Asher yet again. Crabbing was shifted to the day after.
Day 6 - Mr.K is stuck at home with us, until night time where we go crabbing. Someone gives us 2 sotongs, and we catch 2 crabs. He wrestles with Asher (yes again)
Day 7 - Its still not over....so tune in for... Part 3 of Mr.K!

Two weeks later..
76.35kg
8 pull-ups
10:58 - 2.4km jog/run
I think I'm doing a lot better than I ever could or ever would have. Oh, and glad to hear that everyone is alright. Especially Jaykay.

Hokk Hokk Hokkaido! 1 of 2
Its been a long two weeks, albeit a great two weeks. Hokkaido (the land of melons and king crabs) came and went, followed swiftly by a family camp to Penang, the local food haven. Family camp nights were primarily food outings, sourcing out the famous sour assam laksa, huge oysters, fried kway teow, rojak, chendol, the list goes on... however, didn't really take much photos of Penang, since i lent my camera to Bao. This post is about hokkaido, which has left a satisfying and lingering impact on my life's adventures.
Day #1 - waking up at 3am is a chore, flying on the plane at 6am is torture. Somehow, nicky managed to sneak my camera out of my bag and snap shots of me. sleeping!
We reach at the Narita Port Hotel and leave at 7am the next morning, headed to Haneda Airport, where we'll take a domestic Japan Airlines flight to Hokkaido. In the meantime, we head out to the local Aeon Mall and have sushi. Thats it, i'm not having Sakae Sushi ever again.
As promised, the sea urchin sushi i've been telling you about. Just posting this makes me hungry.
Day #2 - tired peeps head out to Haneda, where we go gallivanting round the airport as cheerful shop assistants greet us everywhere. Think non-stop cuckoo clock. Welcome to Hokkaido, the airport reads. We step out and, hey, it isn't cold as everyone says it is. A nice long bus ride leads us to Lake Toya, a lake created after a volcanic eruption. The island right smack in the middle is where we'd head to the next day, while the view from our hotel is amazing. The hot baths even have an outdoor section which overlooks the lake. There is a 15 minute fireworks display everyday. The hotel buffet serves freshly grilled scallops. Yet for all the grandeur, this hotel would have the worst toilet, uh...cubicle, throughout the trip. Don't believe me? Ask Aunty Ad.
Before that we were at Ainu Village, where the indigenous people of Hokkaido make full use of tourists. A display of their cultural heritage, one sound being a loud 'boing'. Apparently they worship the bear and eat the bear. Inspired, i would later purchase a small can of bear meat. The view at this location is spectacular yet again.
Ainu Man
Just had to take this
Magnificent view + Ainu Woman
Day #3 - We head out to Lake Toya on a cosy cruise, get on the island, and its beautiful. And then, my camera battery dies. D'oh! Nicky takes over and snaps photos all round as we learn how to make hokkaido ice cream, go for a strawberry all-you-can-pluck-and-eat, and feed bears with apples. These bears actually do a 'prayer' movement, urging you to throw food to them. Watch the video closely!
With a beautiful assortment of cherry blossoms in the backdrop near the strawberry farm, the nonsense begins!
Strawberry Buffet
We have the Romantics
And the plain Boh Liao.
Later on, we'd head down to this place known as 'Hell's Valley', due to its pungent smell originating from large sulphur deposits underground. Smells like rotten eggs. Some ah-mas prefer to stay on the bus. The water is bubbling and hot. It would prove to be the best hot bath of the trip that night. Stay tuned for the next post, where the 2nd half of the trip will be wrapped up!

peee nang
well here we are, gurney beach, and all the food we can eat!
Ok doesn't make any sense but reminds you of good ol' looney tunes. Anyway, here we are now (without the falling sky thankfully) at the Gurney Resort in Malaysia, at the annual camp! So far it's been excellent - like i sum it up, good FOOD, good FELLOWSHIP, good WORD.
Here's my bunk mates!
Let's see, what have we been doing? Well, Qiyang, myself and some others were the privilleged few to seat the plane, avoiding the gruelling bus journey, plus the delay caused by hotel boo-boos. Got in time to dump my stuff in Qiyang's room temporarily, then off for dinner and service!
It's been loads of fun - we had the chance to go to the mall today, we got to swim and beach volleyball (not at the beach, but at the hotel - can you believe it? there's a floor where there's sand and everything), we had some board games and chill outs. COOL stuff.
i'll try to get up the rest of the photos from Japan up after Cebu ;)
